Our class will be creating a Weird Weather Wiki from photos that we have taken in recent months.
I have uploaded a few photos of weather occurences that have happened around me in the past year!
Each photo has a caption explaining the weather phenomenon and the details surrounding it.

June 19, 2011 - The Great Wall of China, near Beijing, was foogy (smoggy?) for the first week I was there. After a huge thunderstorm that flooded the city passed through, the fog cleared up and I was able to take better photos.

This summer has been filled with thunderstorms! It seems as though every day or night for several weeks, we have had lightning or flash flooding! As much as I enjoy a good thunderstorm, I'm getting a little tired of wringing out towels in my basement. :)

See caption below...

On June 21, 2011, a tornado touched down in Mount Prospect at 8:48 p.m. It had winds as high as 90 to 100 mph.
Everywhere in my neighborhood, trees and branches littered people's lawns and blocked access to streets.
This picture shows several huge branches that fell onto my Explorer and smashed the back side. :(

After spending 10 days in China, this is what I came home to. The back section of my truck was smashed! Fortunately, no one was hurt and my Cubs license plate didn't have a scratch on it! :)

January 31-February 1, 2011 - The 20.2 inches of snow that fell in Chicago made the storm the city’s third-largest on record. The front door to my house was nearly engulfed by the snow's accumulation, but it sure made for a nice photo!

My small snow blower wouldn't have been able to handle the 20+ inches of snow that fell, but I did it in shifts all night. Luckily, we had a snow day to sleep in!
